4.2.1.1 Specifying an RTF output format
You can specify one of two types of RTF output (for print or for on-line help), or you can choose to produce only MIF files. Standard (print RTF) is the default:
Specify this setting in the mif2rtf.ini configuration file:
; Output = Standard (default, Word RTF), Help (WinHelp), or FrameMIF
If you specify Output=Standard, the default output format is Word 7/95. You must specify additional options for other print RTF formats:
• For Word 8/97 or later versions of Word, also specify the following option:
; Word8 = No (default, Word7/Office95, earlier) or Yes (Office97)
See §5.2.5 Adjusting for different versions of Word.
• For WordPerfect, also specify the following option:
; WordPerfect = Yes to override all features WP does not tolerate
See §5.2.3 Specifying output type and file extension.
If you specify Output=Help, the default output format is WinHelp 4. You must specify an additional option for a different WinHelp version:
• For WinHelp 3, also specify the following option:
; HelpVersion = 3 for Win 3.1 compatible or 4 for Win 95/NT
See §7.1.5 Accommodating platform differences.
If you specify Output=FrameMIF, Mif2Go produces only FrameMaker MIF files from your FrameMaker document, and does not convert them to another format. See §4.2.1.3 Specifying MIF or DCL as the output format.
