CSS Stylesheet Usage |
With Mif2Go, you can choose how (and whether) you use CSS stylesheets. You can have the filter create the stylesheet (named as you choose) from your FrameMaker document. This gives you a good starting point if you want to fine-tune your document’s presentation for the Web, or you can just use the stylesheet as Mif2Go created it. In the mif2htm.ini file, you can choose the units to use for fonts and indents, set specific CSS format by format, and add blocks of text to the start and end of the CSS file, to handle pseudo-elements (like link display properties) or other special properties. You can also have Mif2Go reference an existing (or planned) stylesheet in your document, without altering it. This is what you will want to do after you have hand-adjusted the CSS styles to your liking, so that the filter doesn’t wipe out your work. (The default is not to overwrite any existing CSS file.) Finally, if you must support older browsers that behaved badly with stylesheets, you can have the filter eliminate any reference to one. Since you can assign the standard HTML style you want within the document, you don’t necessarily have to use CSS to get a good appearance. | ||||
