Date: February 24th 2010

Problem is very simple. Your client doesn't actually have Times and Helvetica
installed on their system and some remaining fragment of text or graphic in
their documents are calling upon a face of Times and/or Helvetica.

Because her HP printer reports back to Windows that IT has Helvetica and
Times via its PPD file (or otherwise for PCL), Windows GDI reports back
to FrameMaker that Helvetica and Times are available fonts. On the other
hand, neither Times nor Helvetica families are "resident" fonts of the
Distiller and thus such phantom fonts are not reported back to Windows GDI
and then to FrameMaker.

Two things need to be fixed:

(1) Edit the PPD for all PostScript printers removing all font specifications
other than Courier (the regular face).

(2) Purge your FrameMaker documents of Times and Helvetica references. Are
printer marks being used, perchance?
