I’m scanning some out of print books and putting them into Frame to make use of PDF functions. I end up with straight quotes.

I find plenty of instructions to go from smart quotes to straight quotes, but I need to go in the opposite direction.

I can replace all, but that leaves me with half the quotes to fix – the opening quote in a pair is OK, but the closing quote then is the same as the opening quote.

How can I fix make the close quotes smart without doing each one manually?

I admit my skills are a bit rusty, so I hope I’m not asking an elementary question.

Thanks for the help,

Mike
